Integrated, Territorial Rural Development Strategies of a pilot nature

Support will be provided for all territories that demonstrate their wish and capacity to draw up and carry out an integrated and sustainable territorial development strategy of a pilot nature, on the basis of a development plan with a representative partnership, which should be articulated around a strong theme, characteristic of the identity of the territory.
The development strategy must be economically viable and sustainable and be in the nature of a pilot scheme. LEADER+ must deepen the experimentation begun within the scope of LEADER I and II, using original and ambitious rural development approaches that are transferable and complement the interventions made through the mainstream programmes adopted in the territory (National Programme Point 5.1).

marcadorThe  Local Action Groups (LAGs)(LAGs) are partnerships (point 7.2.2. National Programme) made between public and private entities that agree on a common intervention strategy for the territory, set out in a Local Development Plan (LDP). The Local Action Groups (LAGs) have the competence to manage the Local Development Plan with autonomy, respecting the national and Community regulations in force.
