Networking: putting rural areas of the European Union on-line
Support will be given to placing all rural areas,
beneficiaries or otherwise of the initiative, as well as all
organisations and administrations involved in these territorial
actions, such as rural information centres, for instance,
on-line, to promote the exchange and transfer of experiences
but also with the aim of:
Encouraging and achieving co-operation between territories.
Informing and identifying lessons to be learnt from territorial
rural development.
Active participation on the network will be mandatory for
all beneficiaries of LEADER+.
Each Member State proposes measures aimed at creating the
necessary structure to animate the network.
At European level an “observatory of rural territories”
led by the Commission will ensure that the networks are set
up in the European context (National
Programme point 5.3).
